Lost my own Coluki (collie/saluki) only on the North Downs in Surrey a few weeks ago when she suddenly just disappeared. She had of course, spotted a deer that I hadn't seen. I'm very careful usually but I had let her off the lead in an area I was less familiar with. Two hours later she came back to the spot where she took off, but I have learned my lesson and she's back on the lead!!
